The Sherpa is the first expedition cabin in series production made from natural fiber
composites. Flax, recycled PET cores, and cork replace conventional fiberglass and
foams. The result: a cabin that requires less energy to produce, is significantly lighter,

autonomy – without requiring a larger vehicle footprint. At the same time, this

The Sherpa is aimed at a growing market: customers who want to reach the most
remote corners of the world with maximum autonomy – without the limitations of
heavy-duty trucks. It combines the tank and energy capacity of large expedition
vehicles with the agility and accessibility of a compact 4×4. The result is a vehicle
that can go anywhere and provides the comfort of a real home along the way.
Strong demand confirms the concept
Since the launch edition was unveiled in 2024, GREENLANDER has experienced
extraordinary demand. Within just six months, the first series was sold out – a clear
signal of the concept’s strength in a market that has proven resilient despite
economic fluctuations.
A material revolution on broad display
GREENLANDER is not alone with this innovation:
- EXPLORER Magazine is presenting a DIY vehicle in the “Adventure
Self-Build” section, built from the same natural fiber sandwich panels
developed by GREENLANDER and its parent company Circular Structures.
- In Hall 6, Dethleffs is showcasing the concept vehicle e.home E.CO, also
based on these materials.
Together, these three showcases demonstrate that a true material revolution has
begun – spanning series production, self-builds, and industrial concepts.

Visitors to the show will have the chance to see the series version of the Sherpa on
Iveco Daily 4×4 for the first time. At the same time, GREENLANDER is launching
pre-orders for the Launch Edition on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4×4. This opens up
a much larger market, as the Sprinter is one of Europe’s most in-demand base
vehicles. Customers can now secure a place in this limited launch edition, with
deliveries scheduled from 2027 onwards.
Both models make clear that sustainable lightweight construction and
uncompromising travel capability can go hand in hand.
